Idea for my website were to either make a website for a clothing brand or a game or my friends web comic. I looked in to all of these ideas and decided on what I think was the best one, one for my friends comic. I think I could have done something better but im really happy with my website idea. I think for this I had enough time to think of my idea but it’s the only thing I had enough time for. My idea definetly worked and I think it works really well and is very interactive. I changed my idea a little bit as I went though but really not much and I really enjoyed making it. I think over time when I thought more about my idea and I talked to my client more my idea changed and developed to become better and better. I remember thinking that making a webiste for a comic would be quite hard but I was very exicted to be making it and enxt time if I were to do this again I would come up with a slightly better idea but stick with one im this passionate about as I think it really helped me on staying motivated throughout this project.  

I looked in to different websites and saw how they were set up, what made them good and what made them bad. I then wrote down what I liked that I saw and how it links with my idea and how it would improve my idea. I feel like I could have done more reserch but this project was very different as I wasn’t too sure what was going onmost of the time although when we finally started to learn how to use the software we did do some reserch that was very helpful, this was learning how to use muse and how photoshop is a very useful skill when using muse and setting up a website. Next time if I were to do this again I would do a lot more reserch and spend more time on it although I am happy with how my reserch helped me to build my website plan. I looked at what menu’s include and there was one website I took most of my inspiration off, this website had a colourful menu but it was galexy themed and there were so manu different catagories, it change colour when you hover over it and what page your selected on like a normal menu but the thing I liked the most was that there were a few things on the menu that you hover over and theres a drop down menu as some pages didn’t need it and some did, I really liked this so I did it for the comic, I think it makes it quicker and easier for any viewer.  

When planning for my website I looked more at the flow of different websites and I made scetches for each page of my website and what was going to be on it, after a few sketches I was left with a plan I really liked so I mostly stuck to it, I think it was a really good plan, it wasn’t too detailed so I could just see what looks best for the website with many things but the basic outlines and information was already planned so I could quickly assesmble my website. If I were to do this again id make the plans on photoshop as I could then have used them and changed them to add them to my website and use them to make a perfect website. For my planning I also looked in to the steryotype of my audience, for this I looked up different census’s for the area to whitch most of the creators of the comic live so I could see what the ta would be like and it was very helpful as I then knew what age and more I would have to please and interest on my website. I think I stuck with my planning really well and did plan really well although maybe I could have done a bit more. I made a production schedule and I think I stuck with it okay but not in much detail so I did everything I said to do but simply so I could also do the other projects, this was not a good idea and next time im going to concentrate and do everything in detail first time.  

I really like my website although there are things id improve about it im very happy with not only the fact I finished it but it all works properly, theres a social media link and all the pages have something interactive on it other than the menu, sometimes the website can be slow as there are 30 pages but I think I did really well making it all, I was going to include a couple issues of the comic but muse wasn’t sustaining the 24 pages I had already added so I couldn’t do that and im annoyed at this as I had a lot of plans for it but I decided it would be better to have 30 working pages than many many more pages and not be able to load the website properly. I think I could have done better with my time mangament in this project but my dyspraxia can make it very hard for my to organise and concentate on things so I got very confused thoughout the project and wasn’t very organised but next time I will try my hardest to be better. I only really changed a few things from my final to my ideas, im very happy with this as it shows to me that I planned it very well and only changed things that really had to be changed and improved. Using photoshop to make most of things I used for my website was very good for me as I love photoshop and I was very happy making it all although I wish we had been taught to use muse erlier than we did. Overall im happy with my product and tha ti actually finished it but I wish that I had managed my time better thoughout it and next time im going to concentrate on my reserch and planning more.
